Raising the Barre
Each year, Dance Discovery will recognize the student who has grown in all styles of dance, and who represents all the qualities the studio strives to instill. Pearl Wick is this year’s recipient of this prestigious award.
From head to pointed toe Pearl is the definition of a dancer. This year she studied four styles of dance: Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary. No matter the style, her grace and poise are sure to catch your eye and hold your attention. Her natural talent for technique is impressive, but her work ethic, storytelling, and drive put her over the top! There has not been one week this year that Pearl has come unprepared. She is attentive to detail when it comes to choreography, she applies corrections quickly and professionally, and she aced every Ballet vocabulary quiz this year! Pearl is also very helpful in class – often answering questions, asking her own well-thought questions, and volunteering to do any tasks that the teachers need done. Her spectacular growth this season, both as a dancer and as a person, is proof of the hard work she has put in during each class and on her own time. We are beyond ecstatic to have Pearl as a part of our dance family. We look forward to seeing everything she accomplishes in the next year and beyond!
